They don't even ask for proof of purchase. I think there is something wrong with these Canon Pixma printers. Also I will endevor to make any and all parts available should anyone need new parts. It turned out to be stuck in a kind of upward position and somehow the mechanism that moves the tray is released so nothing happens when you switch on the printer.Touching weblink

Just send me an email requesting what you need, if you don't know then also give me the model of your canon product. I have unplugged and shaken the thing upside down. It wasn't moving; so, I moved it myself. Mind you, before discovering this site I had even gone to the trouble of reinstalling the printer drivers.

I would get in touch with Canon, to hopefully get it repaired. Contact http://www.beckscrs.com - BAB that is a lift cam timing problem. Was this perhaps the wiper mechanism, or at least part of it?

And even though the original question was posted in April 2006, almost 2-1/2 years later this thread has remained active by so many people who just want to say Thank You; and Reset.
